    I recently upgraded my 2 mp60's to the quiet drives. I initially had an issue with night mode and to make a long story short I purchased a Reeflink. Firstly, it was a breeze to set up and found both vortecs right away. Nice! I found that the night mode function has been eliminated in ecotech live. It is now just constant speed mode which is essentially the same thing. Ecosmart modes are initially pre programmed so I chose to change those modes to better match what I had going on before the upgrades. ...

    Well, I decided I had enough of the noise from my 2 mp60's so I upgraded both to the new quiet drives. What an amazing difference! One is now almost silent and the other is at least 80% quieter. Here's where things go a bit sideways. Neither driver will remember night mode. While not a big deal I think all features should work properly. I reached out to Ecotech and basically the new drivers need a firmware update. I tried contacting the retailer I purchased them from to see if they could do it for ...

  3. Calcium reactor

    I've had a fair amount of trouble in the tank over the last several months.In that time I lost a 5 gal pail of sps so I pulled my reactor offline as it wasn't needed. Now that things have recovered nicely and things are once again stable with frequent water changes, I'm ready to restart the calcium reactor. In the past I've had difficulty keeping the effuent flow rate consistent and have had to tweak it daily. I will be ordering the same regulator as Melev and a controller of some kind. I'm thinking ...

  4. Nature has it's way

    Right then.Float sensor stuck on due to little white snails.Ato thinks water is low in sump.Pumps ro water into system untill sump overflows dumping i"m guessing 20 gal onto basement floor.And the external skimmer pump.Then gfci for that room pops.No pwr to system for several hours.Thats what I discovered at 10:30 am.Scrambling all day doing damage control and cleanup.
