  1. Baby Dolphin story

    Have y'all heard about this baby dolphin rescue in Uruguay? I had not, but here's the article with lots of beautiful pictures. The dolphin was well cared for, but simply didn't make it. His penguin mascot was sad to lose his new friend. Here's the link:

  3. Working around the Marineland 400g tank

    Now that the tank is here, I'm able to get more of the fishroom completed. You'd think the tank would be in the way, but without it on site, it is nearly impossible to finalize the room that surrounds it.

    Last week, more wiring was completed. Then the 265g water container was brought in so the last wall could be studded up.

  4. Got another toy. :)

    I ordered a Majano Zapper from PaulB last week. This is a device that was cleaned up from the version I posted about last January / February when a buddy of mine let me watch his DIY handiwork in Seattle take out some pest anemones. PaulB decided he could make a better mousetrap and fabricated something I was willing to hold -- after all, it is an electrical device we submerge in our saltwater system!

    Before you ask, I don't know if he's going to make any more of these at the moment ...

  5. The 400g has landed in Fort Worth, Texas

    As you knew, today was the day my new reef tank was to be delivered. By 5 p.m. I had a number of friends waiting with me for the semi truck's arrival. Prior to that, I did get a little more work done. Sheetrock on the ceiling over where the tank would be, at least.





    The flooring was cleared out and a couple of spots were whittled ...
