  1. Epic Fail

I got home a couple of hours ago, and just realized that I left my netbook on the plane. When they told us to power down our laptops in anticipation of landing, I did and put it in the seat pocket. And totally forgot to take it! I'm shocked - this is SOOO unlike me. During the flight, I wrote the entire article about RAP to post tonight, and of course all of my presentations were on it as well. I called the closed Lost and Found and left a message and can only hope it will be turned in by the ...

  2. Another customized sump

This sump was a new design I came up with. To fit the stand, its footprint had to be 60 x 24 which left space for an external Dart pump.

This first shot is from the propagation section in my sump. These are tiny Green ...

  4. October club meeting (DFWMAS)

This month, our club meeting featured a visiting speaker. Steven Pro talked to us about lighting, delving into some of the more specific features that we should consider. It was interesting, such as why some bulbs are blue while others are not. He pointed out that a bulb with a lot of blue is actually a bulb without reds and yellows.

  5. Trusses are up where they belong

Today, I created this quickie shelving in the garage to give me some floor space back. It was crammed with everything in the way and I needed this anyway.

Then I ran down to Harbor Freight to buy a new can jack. There were a lot of options, but this 12 ton looked like it would handle the task. It was on sale for $24.99, and when I got to the register I found an unused 20% off coupon sitting there. I asked ...
