  1. Ecotech Radion TIR lens upgrade and full install

I was up at my LFS tonight, and he was ready to install his brand new Radions into the canopy fixture. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to play with these for a bit, and took pictures with my iPhone4 as time allowed. Two days ago, i posted on our Facebook/reefaddicts wall that Ecotech released information to upgrade the current LED reflector with their new TIR lens. Frank had a bag of these lens already, so I offered to swap out a pair to see what was involved. Initially I figured you had ...

  2. Sometimes, you just get lucky...

While attending NERAC last weekend, I never had a chance to purchase any raffle tickets that day. A friend of mine named Kathy offered to loan me $20 cash since they only accepted cash or checks. 4. Shade, please

However, they had none and stopped selling it. Wandering around the store, I found sheets of black foam 3mm thick, about the size of a placemat. Each sheet was $0.99, so I bought four.

I affixed it to the back of the refugium light with some velcro, ...

  5. Day 20: Water testing

I pulled out the test kits tonight to see where things are. I'm happy to report great numbers across the board.

Even with these excellent numbers, I'm going to do a 50g water change tomorrow.

The LED refugium lighting was installed two nights ago, and they look fantastic. Totally ...
