Earlier this month, I went to Las Vegas for my first time ever. While in town, I had to make it a point to visit Acrylic Tank Manufacturing, or ATM for short. Before my arrival, I had spoken to Brett Raymer via facebook to hopefully meet up, but it turned out he was stuck in California for the week. Using the address off their website, I followed the Map App to my destination, but couldn't find it. Fortunately a nice woman provided directions over the phone. For the last day of the year, I better get in this holiday related sand sculpture I saw at one hotel on O'ahu. It was impressive how this guy (I didn't see any other minions) was able to build this from 20 tons of sand.

Finally something I recognize - acrylic panels were put up to protect the art.

Over the weekend, I had a mishap and twisted my ankle. It's eye opening to realize how much we use our feet to every single mundane or important task. I live in a single level home, fortunately.

Friends came over hours after my injury, and took me up to the local pharmacy to get an ankle brace to immobilize it for the time being. Even with it on, any kind of pressure would not only hurt, but impede the healing process. As I sat on the sofa watching pre-recorded tv, I was able to ...

Here in DFW, Texas it's 107F outside. Brutal - my lawn is begging for mercy, but annually August is our worst month ever. How about you? What's it like where you are?

I saw this video submission that I figured you might get a kick out of. If you really want the bottom of your barebottom tank cleaned, this could be one method.
