I'm so excited! I finished my rock work finally. I had to mortar four rocks together and it took me forever to get someone to come over who was willing to offer a hand to get the rocks in the tank with the acrylic rod. I drained the water from the water test a month ago and arranged the rocks in their final position. I added a 5 gallon bucket of sand to cover up the acrylic plate that the rod is threaded into. I've added a few pics here of the rock drilling process. The mortar was from MarcoRocks.com
So I'm trying to think of the best way to hang my lighting over my tank. I have this sexy tank, and the only lighting I have for it is a 36 retrofit LED and I'll be getting a couple stunner strips to supplement. It seems a shame to build a traditional canopy for it. So I've concocted an idea for a floating canopy/pendant enclosure for it instead. I have been telling myself that I am NOT going to rush this set up.
