I am in the process of building a canopy for my tank and wanted to know what the total length of a t5 with stand off will be for a 75gal rr tank. I am currently running a Icecap vho setup and want to change to t5. I am currently running a 46.5 inch setup on the vho's and total length fit in my temp canopy of 48 inches.
so i decided to plunge into the world of LED. i was a long time anti-LED guy as i came from the old school of MH and T5.
i will be running a 4 foot vertex sr260, as of now im running as is with just white, blue, royal blue leds. i plan on buying the multi color add on pucks later. at the moment i have it 50% white and 60%blue and 65% royal blue. i am running cloud simulator and lightning also on random.
the light is a BEAST very powerful and the build quality is the best ive seen and
Since October, my last update, I've been pretty busy...and I'm only going to get busier because the tank is wet! We're at the end of the cycle now, just letting things flow as we're not on any particular schedule here. Although amusingly enough Tibet is quieter then our grow out tank. I attribute it to the wide overflow, and the sump design.
I have a skimmer on order, an RLSS r10, which I'm dying to get my hands on. So far the tank has run completely skimmerless since it was filled.

My order from Hello Lights came in today so I was able to install an addition 150 watt Electronic ARO Ballast with XM 10,000K bulb on my setup. It looks a lot better in my opinion. an additional 450 watts of lighting on top of this 450 watts.
As many of you know I had decided to do a restart on my tank and correct earlier mistakes/lack of knowledge from when I started my tank 2 years ago. Several of my corals were dead or dying and I had placed corals into my tank that I later realized was a mistake (Xenia, blue clove polyps, ect...) I looped my pump return from my sump back into my sump again, kept the skimmer running, maintained a constant temperature, maintained choeto in the refugium, and kept the biopellet reactor operational to
