I have questions that need answers.
I am shutting down my reef tank. I put a lot of thought into the decision and feel it is time. My question to ask is am I allowed to use this site to help me unload what I have ?
I let the tank run for about 5 days and didn't see anything being picking up on the tests, at the LFS.
So I decided to pick up some fish..

I purchased a nice Aussie platygyra which i suspect may actually be a Goniastrea I picked up about a year and a half ago. At about 6 months On the very top however the skeleton is taking on a bit of a brown or charred color.
It sort of resembles slime that didn't wash away, turned brown and stayed there but it won't blow off, I recently noticed it spread

Hello...I just bout 2 55 gallon food grade barrels that had corn cider vinegar in them. Do you think they will be o.k. to use for mixing salt.
So I have added a about 7 small mini Acropora colonies (more like large frags about 1.5 inches x 1.5 inches into my aquarium since the water parameters seemed stable enough and over the past three weeks my water parameters have started to take a dive. I've also noticed that a few of the Acropora colonies seem to be suffering from burned tips. No I have a very minimum bioload as there are no fish in my aquarium and I feed only twice a week. But I am curious what could be causing the drop in pH,
