    hello everyone show me your skimmate is something i started at tcrc our local reef club and i though i would start it here.

    i want for everyone to share their dirty pictures.... XP no not those silly! i want to see what your skimmer cup looks like in a week or if it gets full before a weeks time just take a pic of it full. i also want you to tell what skimmer you have

  2. Test results for August

    I need to make a fancy table like Melev has, this was cut and pasted from a MS Excel spread sheet. Blanks are for lack of kits, where as zeros meant tested but undetectable results. I have not put my CA reactor on line as it is not needed at this point. I may need to bring the ALK up a smidge and let the CAL drop a smidge but other than that the numbers look good. That said I am still observing some stringy brown algae junk that I am certain will eventually fade, even though it does detract ...

  3. Giving Biopellets a go...

    So I finally decided to take the plunge into bio-pellets even though there are mixed reviews out there. I had been debating it for months and trying to read up on the best way to go about it but could not make a decision. There were just too many options and the reactors seemed endless. Then I saw the larger pellets that didnt need to tumble, so I figured I would give it a shot and ordered two 500 ml Reef Interest bags with a Phosban reactor 550.   4. Natural Filtration

    The other night I noticed the bubble trap in my sump was red?! Closer examination revealed it was completely lined with little tube worms with red gills extended. Doesn't show up well, but here's the best photo I could get.
