  1. Unidentified Creature In My Sump

    Hey Guys,

Last year when I was doing a little remodeling in my display tank I found a strange creature under one of my shelf rocks. While I had the rock out of the water to move to my sump I lightly poked at the mystery creature and it had a hard shell. I put it in my sump and a couple days later when I was watching the sump I noticed that this little creature moved. I've attached a picture of it. In the picture he is sitting up (for lack of a better word) but when I move my hand ...
  2. red planaria

I had 2 torches and a hammer infested with them so I pulled all 3 and gave them a bath with Coral rx. Really checked them over thoroughly before returning them to the display or so I thought. Now they are everywhere. I bought Flatworm Exit but I thought I best check with my fellow Reef Addicts to see if there's a safer solution before I use it. When they do, they bleep or blare a never ending sound which indicates it needs a new internal battery.

However, mine are really old and once that happens, my faith waivers ...

  5. Tank Update

It has been over a month now since I added the three Fish. They are still alive and seem healthy. I have lost 5 of the snails now. All are the margarita snails. I guess those are not for my tank. All others seem fine. I still have some diatoms popping up. The nitrates are still high. They have been at around 30 for weeks. They don't seem to budge. The phosphate reading has gone down to a reading of 0 for weeks now. I would guess it is being used up as fast as it is added. Not much else to tell I ...
