  1. Long time no update

Well it has been 5 years since I posted to my blog. I moved houses and now have a huge finished basement and moderately sized unfinished section as well. I am hoping to start a 75 gallon stand this weekend to re-home my cichlids and then I am off to my 125 gallon reef build attempt. Still have all the equipment I posted 5 years ago and now I have two 40 gallon breeders from the $1 a gallon sale at Petco for a QT and Hospital tank.

  2. Some Basement Pics

I know some people on here wanted to see some pics of my basement after describing it and the "friends" that live down there. Well I still am undecided about tanks down there but this weekend I will install my RO/DI.

  3. Road Trip

So right before New Year's Eve I had to go out to Terre Haute, Indiana. I hate going out there but was obliged for family business so we rented a car and made the 10 hour drive(620 miles). My wife actually looking for something to do out there other then do the normal sight seeing(a ton of stuff in town is named after my family but is pretty boring) looked up some things. She found this place there called inland aquatics, I thought OK a nice fish store to waste an hour in. Holy crap was I wrong. ...

  4. Quick Questions

So after asking the wife about my bookshelf tank she nixed the idea. She did mention though I can put whatever I want in the cellar after I clean it and move the treadmill and exercise bike down there. Now some questions. I have a house built in 1880, the cellar really is a "cellar" think creepy rock walls and stuff like in a horror movie. It has a concrete floor that is not exactly level. There are also some black rat snakes that like to dwell in there in the spring before moving out ...

  5. Grand Idea

So my wife is between semesters right now in college and only interns one day a week. She has now taken it upon herself to redo our office. This is a small room that has some terrible carpet and just plain pain walls. She has already ripped the carpet up and discovered what we though, nice wood floor that matches the hallway, although a little beaten up and scratched(I will sand it another time). She has already painted one coat on the room after filling all the minor holes in the wall and dents. ...
