    Since my shallow 60g is on eternal hold, I decided I needed to change things up somewhere. My current growout system is a very traditional setup- 40 breeder tank consisting of racks of eggcrate for the frags, draining into a very basic sump housing the skimmer and heater. Internal return pump and feed pump for the GAC/GFO reactor. A separate 10g tank holding top-off water to be added to the sump controlled by a level sensor. Nothing special.   2. 29g Tank Update - SPS Freak!

    My 29g has come a long way! I decided to go crazy with an all SPS tank. I got rid of several really nice corals and cut my rock way back, but I absolutely love the tank now! It hurt most getting rid of my Australian Gold Torch Coral, but I gave it to a friend up the road who I knew would take care of it and I'd still get to watch it grow and look great. :-)

    I'm beginning to become a bit of an SPS Freak...

  3. My tank after switching

    I took a video today but my battery ran out. Things are looking better already, even though most of the corals have lost a lot of tissue that seems to be slowing. My nitrates are high, and I did a water change yesterday and I'm planning to do another here in a couple of days.
