  1. Dosing vs. Calcium reactor

by on Today at 01:21 PM
I have always dosed all my tanks including my current 180 and its getting a little ridiculous with the amounts I am having to add on a daily basis. Would getting a doser be a good idea or would a calcium reactor be a better option? I think I like the idea of a doser better just b/c it seems more consistent and easier to set up and maintain. Opinions please. Thanks Gina

Still need to clear coat and cut a piece of trim, trim the rest of the basement and then save for carpet. But I did get paint on the walls, trim installed and have started on the inside. Bulkhead came in yesterday so I can soon start on the plumbing.

So my wife and I where looking to add a little more scenery to the dinning room area of our home but didn't want to spend a fortune. So while picking up some supplies at a local Pet Smart we stumbled across the the Fluval Chi. It is a 5.5 gallon rimless aquarium with and integrated filter with LED lighting. It allows the water to be filtered and to trickle back into the aquarium like a fountain. So at $55.00 for the sale price we had to pick one up.

THANKS FELLA'S LOL Midnight to answer your question yes the standard 265rr tank made by marineland only comes with 4 1" holes, now the drains they provide you are 1 1/2" but have a reduce at the bottom so technically it is what it is lol, that is why im going to use all 4 1 inch holes as drains, and it looks like both holes in each box will fit the 2 overflow drains in each box, havent gotten to check it out yet, but i believe there is room for this, so today i pretty much got most of ...
