  1. I am somewhat familiar with woodworking. I am not a professional, nor anywhere close to that level. You said wrap the stand right to the floor. WHat exactly does that mean? Thanks for the info. It is greatly appreciated.
  2. if you had one every 2' along the tank. i would also make sure they are under the top frame. another thing i've done is wrap the stand in 3/4 plywood. i build steps at work out of just 3/4 plywood and some of the guys are 300 lbs with no problem. if you don't work with wood every day, get a miter saw for your cuts. screw and glue all joints. other than that it should only take a couple of hours to build and level, then wrap the stand right to the floor after you shim it.

  3. hey! I saw on one of your posts that you are a carpenter. i have a question for you concerning stand building. Will 2x4's be enough to support a 200g tank?
