Getting ready to go on vacation to sweet San Diego and irony strikes.

Showing Mom how easy it is to take care of the tank thanks to my Reefkeeper 2, and I drop it in water. Absolutely fried. Now I have to come up with a timer, replace my less reliable heater and hope for the best. Bad times man, bad times!

So, I know San Diego is Jessy's stomping ground, what fish stores are the ones to visit? Anyone?

    I'll take some chicken strips with a side of LAME SAUCE!!! That really sucks man!

    Waterproof tank electronics... anyone with me here??? :-) When you get back from vacation search for a local marine aquarium club so you can make some fish tank buddies. If there's not one, make one! www.forumotion.com

    Find a local store/restaurant for some monthly or every other month meetings and advertise on craigslist. Reef buddies give the best birthday presents too! ;-)

    Agreed. All electronics for tanks should be totally waterproof!

    We have a local club, but it's very meh. Basically it's reefcraigslist. And besides, Mom has done well before, and she's already taking care of the cats, who by the way do a terrible job reef-sitting.

    I would love to start a separate club, but the act alone would be uber-offensive to the current club and I work at one of the areas lfs, so I can see it being some conflict of interests. But I would love to piss those dudes off haha.

    To be fair, my DA Reefkeeper 2(yes I mean Reefkeeper 2) was getting past its prime. One of the buttons didn't work right, and maybe it was time to upgrade. I love upgrading, hate paying for it.

    Hate to admit it, reminds me of the time I dropped my new IPOD in the toilet and yes fished it out, rinsed, blow dried to no avail... Upgrade!

    Hey Jessy's here. Been enjoying a weekend away from the computer and into trouble and other things .

    You can hit up AquaSD, Aquatic Warehouse, and Octopus's Garden. They are all in the same 1-2mil radius and the best stores in SD. While you're here be sure to go to the Cove in La Jolla for siteseeing and Point Loma Seafoods for the Dungenous Crab Sandwich. Mmmmm tastey and very pretty location.

    We're snorkling on Tuesday at la jolla! Hopefully san Diego is nice to me! Thanks!
