Long overdue introduction/ First Blog

Hi everyone. I have been lurking on this site for about a year and a half and figured it was time for my first blog. I have been reading everything on here and have learned so much so I want to say thank you to Marc and Jessy for this amazing site. My tank is currently a very low tech system that is in desperate need of equipment upgrades. I currently am running a 50 gallon tank with a Rena xp3 canister filter that is cleaned regularly to prevent nitrates building up. I recently added a CPR hang on back fuge and am running gfo through a power filter. Lighting consists of a 70watt viper clamp on hqi and 2 65watt compact fluorescents. There are also 2 powerheads for flow. Livestock consists of 2 blue damsels, 1 Bangaii cardinal, 1 starry blenny, 1 yellow shrimp goby with pistol shrimp, 3 urchins, a purple reef lobster, an assortment or snails and hermit crabs, a feather duster and a variety of corals mostly softies with a few LPS. There is no real organization to it unfortunately as there is live rock from 3 different tanks shoved into one. This past April due to financial issues we had to move into my in laws house and I had to combine all of my tanks. I do still have a 10 gallon quarantine tank and a 38 gallon fresh water live planted. Here are some pictures of the tank and inhabitants.
