Long over due update!

Hello! So I've been slacking! Blame it on work... ok let me bring you guys up to speed...
The back of the tank was painted black.

The sump was dropped in from the top of the stand. There is insulation inside the stand (the guy who built it suggested it) at first I thought it would not be a good idea turns out its a great idea keeps the water real cool and muffles the water/skimmer noise in the sump. The bottom of the stand is lined with shower pan liner (awesome idea by a fellow reefer) It saved me from the Dart cracked impeller leak. Pheww! my husband would have probably had me sleep on the curb if it would have ruined the new floors... LOL

Tank/stand were shimmied up and leveled and here is one of my fellow reefer friends brainstorming on the plumbing.

Another shot of the plumbing.

I know some of you suggested I get rid of the existing overflow but I love this view....

I built a PVC structure on where I plan to zip tie some rock on to hide it and the overflow. The egg crate on top of the overflow is on there temporarily. I plan on replacing it with gutter guard to keep the fish from overflow diving. Well right now there is only one lonely sharp nose puffer in there. He was homeless so I took him in... I'm looking for a good home for him

I'm still working on the aquascape. DT still has no lights... I really need to figure out what type of lighting to go with....

looks good what kind of skimmer is that? hey ive got an idea for your overflow box why dont you cover it with coral like green star polyps? you could also buy a huge piece of dry like rock and chisel the shape of your overflow box in it and slip it over it like a sleeve

Thank you, the skimmer is a C-Skim 1800. Great idea on chiseling the rock. Not sure if I can find a rock that big though. Eventually I hope to have lots of coral growing on that area. Zoas, mushrooms, star polyps, a good healthy mix would be great

Now just get some lights over the tank and put some creatures in it!

I'm still undecided as to what lights to go with. I def want LEDs. Preferably DIY. Now if I could only find a good thread to follow on the right LED color mixture the right sunrise sunset high noon drivers. I'm open for suggestions
