Update on my 150g reef

Rate this Entry
so i decided to plunge into the world of LED. i was a long time anti-LED guy as i came from the old school of MH and T5.
i will be running a 4 foot vertex sr260, as of now im running as is with just white, blue, royal blue leds. i plan on buying the multi color add on pucks later. at the moment i have it 50% white and 60%blue and 65% royal blue. i am running cloud simulator and lightning also on random.
the light is a BEAST very powerful and the build quality is the best ive seen and ive handled all the major led lights out, the fixture itself is one large aluminum heat sink and has some weight to it.
i really like the wireless module so you can sit and tune the light with their light studio.
as for looks im impressed its alsmost dead on to look of my old fixture (2x 250w, 4x t5). coral colors look the same so far. as for the shimmer the light uses cree bulbs and no lenses and there is no disco effect color blend is great.

it's a lil scary jumping to led, I've had suck great success with tried and true. but I'm like how quite it is now and controllability.

Aha, so the live rock was already populated with the right stuff. Must make it easier to teach stability. Anyway, tank is looking good!
