cheato algae

My cheato algae has all but dissapeared from my sump and I seem to have green slimey algae in my tank.could new Radions be causing
algae growth? Nitrates near zero Phoshates less than .25. Any ideas?

    We've got a small compact florescent over the sump

    Green slime algae as in green cyano bacteria? It can bloom this time of year. Lots of sunlight, less shade due to the leaves falling off the trees...

    This stuff looks like cyano algae but its on the rocks in long strands.Its picking up littlebubbles and hangs straight up

    We are still trying to bring the po4 down as well. Would it hurt to treat it with chemiclean too???

    Kitch, let's see a picture. That sounds a lot like Dinoflagellates.

    Hydrogen Peroxide 3%, 1ml per 10g of liquid volume in your reef, dosed daily for 8 days.
