sps update (no pictures sorry)

Just a quick update on the current status of my tank and newest attempt at acropora as well as an update on a couple of others. Fist off I am excited to say that it appears I seem to be getting some new growth at the tips of my acropora and also I seem to have some very nice coloration changes in the new growth on the tips. All of the polyps are very open and eager at all times.

I am currently still dosing prodiobio, digest, and reefbooster every two weeks and I am target feeding the sps every 2-3 nights a mixture of coral smoothie, marine snow, and koral color. I really like the coral smoothie as it seems to make everything show a good feeding response including the fish and snails. The marine snow and Koral color I ONLY used because that is what was told to me that the lfs used in their frag tanks so I figured I would give it a go though neither seem to have any good internet reviews. I only use about 1 part each of both the koral color and marine snow and 2 parts coral smoothie, I squirt each acropora one time with a very small pipet and whatever is left in the pipet goes to a couple lucky lps and the remaining amount that is left in my cup is tossed and rinsed out.

I attempted to target feed the acan lord some marine snow and it made it very clear it did not like that at all taking about a week to fully puff and color back up. It appears content for the time being and will attempt to target feed frozen brine probably as early as next week just to give it a little more time to recover.

My orange montipora which I have had for quite some time has faded in color and been that way for months so I am watching to see if it starts to color back up while my green montipora I recently added is already showing new growth and looks very happy.

Currently all parameters seem to be good with the exception of my ph which I will double check with a different testing method soon and salinity which I am still slowly bringing up.

parameters are showing as followed:
Ph 8.6
salinity 1.024
temp 77.7 - 78.0
ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and phosphate currently 0
calcium 450
dkh 9

Thanks for the update. I use some of Rod's Coral Food in my reef. When I do that, I turn off the return pump and pour it in the display, letting the Vortechs blow it around the reef. 30 minutes later I'll restart the return pump.
