Top down images from tonight

Rate this Entry
I spotted something interesting, so I grabbed a Top Down Photo box and my Nikon and get a few nice images tonight. This first image is why I wanted to take a picture. These frags are growing and swirling together. There are three montiporas co-mingling at the moment.

This is one of the Montipora that lost all its color 13 months ago that I discussed in the Prodibio presentation I recently gave at MACNA. That entire presentation is on Youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzG9-cqD2QY The coral is much prettier, and has regained its color. On top, I parked an Anacropora coral that is super fragile - as you can see by the little bits littering the plate coral beneath it.

This Frogspawn colony is so appealing from above, and looks nicer than viewing it from the front pane of the aquarium. Skunk clownfish live to host in it, but will retreat to the Sebae anemone when alarmed.

When you stand in front of my tank, you don't see this. But when you look down from above, WOW.

The blue coral is a Blue Tort (A. tortuosa) acropora, and it's looking great. I've had horrible history with this coral, but after all these years I have something pretty to be proud of.

The green montipora in front of my reef on the sand is spiraling nicely, but it's even more obvious from this perspective. The Yellow Turbinaria scroll coral is to the right.

Anacroporas.I had no idea what they were called. I have 2,one is kind of an army green and the other is a nice encrusting/branching thing that looks sunrise/rainbow monti-ish.Yep they are definitely fragile. That blue tort is awesome!
