Vectra pumps

Rate this Entry
Now that I have the Reeflink I'm really thinking about the Vectra pumps from EcoTech. I am using a pair of BlueLine pumps ,one as my return that also feeds a manifold for reactors and the fuge. The other I have throttled back as my skimmer feed. While the noise reduction would be nice it's not the biggest draw for me as my sump room is in the basement. What does interest me is the control ability and monitoring. I wonder if the L1 would be able to deliver the same or more than a BlueLine 70HD at 13 feet head?

The L1 should. I've got two of them here that I'm about to plumb in (early February, I'd hope). I'm using the M1 on my 60g system and was amazed at how much water it could move dead silently. I've got it running now with a ramping up schedule. It gets stronger during the daytime and tapers down for the night. It uses 28w of power.

I got it for the feeding mode as well as the battery backup option. The silence though, soooo nice.

Thanks Marc. I'll wait for your review before I pull the trigger on purchasing them. By the way I sent you 3 pics that are of interest to you.
