Seattle Trip

Rate this Entry
I had a great time this weekend in Seattle. I had the chance to meet a bunch of PSAS members, see a tank or two, visit a few fish stores, steal some socks, fight off a dog that I nicknamed "Licker", devoured steak and halibut, enjoyed the rain and trees, recorded something special for you Reef Addicts... I'll share that stuff in the near future.

I'm happy to be back home again. My tank looks great, which my son kept an eye on while I was away.

It was great having you up to Seattle. I hope "Licker" didnt scar you emotionally for too long.

Your presentation on large tanks and tank rooms was very informative and insightful. Every member I spoke to with a large tank and/or tank room went home with a new idea to incorporate into their routine or system.

Here's a couple quotes from the PSAS forums,

GREAT MEETING! lots of good info that mark had. I wish I would have had questions to ask but honestly his presentation was pretty well rounded and covered all the bases.
Another GREAT Meeting. Marc was an excellent and fun speaker and I'm sure we all went home with new thoughts and ideas.
I'm sure the PSAS will be asking you to speak for us again in the future.

Wow did you guys record any of this? I would like to hear about tank rooms! I wish to incorporate a tank room in to my home in the future.
I like the looks of your tank on melevsreef.com with the room on the back of it. Is that what you all are talking about here?
Seems like a great way to hide all the "stuff" that comes along with these tanks.

Hey want to come see Charlotte NC now? We have a nice air port and a rather large roller coaster opening soon! lol

Sure, I'd be happy to come to NC. Make it happen!

Yes, my talk is primarily about my own experience of running an in-wall tank for the past 5.5 years. I do share factoids about other systems that pertain to help others avoid pitfalls or mistakes. We all learn from one another which is why we share our stories with one another.

It definitely could be talked about in a future podcast.
