Don't be a n00b!!!!

by yiyi67 on 05-20-2011 at 12:40 PM
So I haven't been super active on here lately, having a lot to do with the fact that I recently moved and have been going through a bunch of crap with my tank. Since reseting the system up in January I have been battling STN on all of my SPS and have basically gone through and tried to correct for every possible cause of general SPS unhappiness. For reference, my parameters have been pretty stable at the following:

Salinity: 35 ppt
PH: 8.0 - 8.2

Anybody have any experience with Genisis Reef water change systems?

by yiyi67 on 06-24-2010 at 02:28 PM
I want to set up a semi-constant water change system and I was originally going to go with the normal Litermeter setup that everyone seems to use, but then I found this: http://www.genesisreefsystems.com/.

by yiyi67 on 06-20-2010 at 07:24 PM

This one is a quick clip of my light fixture moving so you can kinda see how it works.

Finally some pics of my system!

by yiyi67 on 06-19-2010 at 10:52 PM
So with a little help from a friend (by little I mean him coming over and taking all the pics for me, thank you Daniel). I actually have some good shots of some of my equipment and some of my livestock in my 325. Starting with equipment and under stand shots:

This is a shot from the right end of my stand where all the electrical of the system is run to. I wanted to try to seal this area off from any water or moister as well as keep it as organized as possible.

Raise Your Hand If You Have A Lee Mar Tank!

by yiyi67 on 06-17-2010 at 06:09 PM
Just out of curiosity, who here has a tank made by Lee Mar? Any long term or short term comments and critiques? I've had mine going for a couple months and I have to say I love it! The overall build quality and craftsmanship is awesome. The worst part for me was that they weren't very good at giving me a very accurate completion date. I ended up getting it a week or two after they said they would have it done, and I have to say waiting out those final days SUCKED! Not that it matters now that mine
