Hey, I seen that you were talking about this:

"Before using neozeo I couldn't keep any sps's alive. They all died. I was just about to give up on the hobby and then my tank started to take off".

Could you please explain to me about NeoZeo a little more. I want as much info about things that can keep my tank healthy. Where can you get it? How do you dose it? And, exactly what it's for?

    Thanks,

    Henry

How I mount my corals with magnets

by agsansoo on 01-02-2011 at 10:48 PM
Well after four years of mounting frags on live rock, I finally came up with a better solution. At least for me. Let me know what you think.
First off let me say this is better for me, I never said cheaper. LOL

Mounting corals frags to the live rock never was a pleasant experience. The epoxy putty would either get to hard too quick, or fail to stick to the live rock.
Then I had a idea to use magnets to hold down my corals. That way I could move them to different

New Reefscape

by agsansoo on 10-21-2010 at 05:20 PM
OK as of next month my reef will be four years old. So a few corals have grown somewhat large for my little 65 gallon. So I decided it was time to re-reefscape my tank. On the old reefscape I had a large monti-cap in the front center of the tank. Durning the re-reefscape I was lifting it out of the tank and .... oh yea murphy's law struck. The live rock broke and the monti-cap dropped straight to the floor. Shattered into a thousand frags ! This coral was causing an eye sore on the front glass.

Low Tide

by agsansoo on 06-06-2010 at 04:20 AM
Every Saturday I do my weekly maintenance on my tank. I thought I would share some photos. Tank is a 65 gallon. I change out 10 gallons per week, never missing a water change in 3 1/2 years.
Current salt of choice is Tropic Marin Bio-Actif.

Shots of my tank today while doing my weekly water change. From the top down.

From right to left. Low tide.

My Three Year Addiction

by agsansoo on 03-25-2010 at 02:14 PM
I have been in the saltwater reefing hobby now for 3+ years, and if I would have gave up at the first sign of trouble I would not be here today. Every day I see so many new and old reefers leaving this hobby. Problems develop in our tanks and they frustrating and very depressing. Not to mention the very bad economy that we find ourselves in these days. IMO, in the end this is a wonderful hobby. I'm still learning so much every day from everyone in this hobby. I hope in turn to return the favor.
