As most of you know I'm getting the 55 gal set up I gave away a year ago back. And planning to upgrade it to a 75.
Step 1, Research
I've just finished rereading parts of "Aquarium Corals" by Eric H. Borneman, which prompted me to get a copy of "Natural Reef Aquariums" by John H. Tullock. I really like Tullocks ideas for a biotype aquarium that replicates one reef zone, from one part of the world.
For the last few weeks I've been looking after a pair of reef aquariums for a friend of mine. One of which is my old 55 gal setup that will be moved back to my home soon. The other is his 40 breeder set up. Well, when i stopped by there tonight things were awefully dark and quiet.
I quick investigation reveled that the 55 had no power at all, and only 1/2 the lights and 1 power head were running on the 40. I quickly located the electrical panel and tried to reset the expected tripped
Looks like I'm going to be spending a week in Vegas at Light Fair next month. I'll have a couple evenings free while I'm there and wondered if there were any reef related sites to see or shops to check out while I'm there? Not really interested in gambling or shows.

Good News: Since moving my saltwater tank home from the office where I used to work a week ago, I havn't seen any trace of my pistol shrimp/antenna goby pair. Tonight I noticed a mound of sand in front of a shrimp sized hole. So at least the shrimp is still alive.
