For the past 3-4 months ive been wanting, saving and researching to upgrade my skimmer. my tank is a 70g(85-90 total system) medium load. i wanted the biggest skimmer i could place in my sump and maybe still use if i upgrade. I first settled on octopus extreme 1000-sss, i tried to order it twice but everytime out of stock. So i got in touch with Mr. Tran of Socal Tropical Fish Outlet, after couple calls and emails he narrowed me down to bubble magus nac-7 and the cs-1. they are the same body with the cs-1 having diff cup. the big diff is the pumps, nac-7 has atman 2500, cs-1 sicce syncra psk-600. I all ready own 3 sicce syncra pumps(return, reactors) and have been very happy with there performance(low wattage, less heat, reliable). So i pulled the trigger on the CS-1.

the base is also nice, pump sits on a foam bad to damper noise and also has rubber feet on corners. as you can see the whole pump and diffuser come apart for cleaning.

Fully assembled. water level adjustment is with a twist/wedge style pipe. it is marked with a dial indicator 1-5 to show how much it is open.
heres a video of it re-starting it after 4 hours of use, mic on cam is very sensitive but its very quite in person. also 1-2 degree drop in temp on my system.
