    The sump arrived on Wednesday, I rushed home from work to get started on everything that needed to be done.



    At Marc's suggestion I filled the bottom of the stand with sand instead of concrete, it took five bags of sand.

  2. Sump for a fellow reefer

    A fellow reefer in the Charlotte are asked me to build him a sump. He was very opposed to have to take down or drain his reef to add a new sump so we opted to just add another chamber to his existing filtration. His goals were to get things cleaned up and set up his filtration better. He originally had an old style trickle filter with some live rock and a berlin turbo skimmer.

  3. Melev's Boosted RODI Installed

    Today I installed the Boosted RODI unit (from Melev's Reef) and had the neighbor over to look at the garage. The neighbor is Mike Laforge who owns Pavement Pros and Concrete Solutions of the Carolina's in York, SC. He does exceptional work from standard driveways to concrete patios. If your in the Charlotte Metro and need concrete work I would highly recommend his work.

  4. Another order from Premium Aquatics

    I got some more goodies in from Premium Aquatics.

    Guys if you have not ever checked these guys out, you are doing a disservice to yourselves. Jason over there is phenomenal, they always try to get your order out the same day and keep you informed on any items that may not ship due to back order or a late supply. I ordered these item on Tuesday and they were waiting on my door step this afternoon.

  5. Equipment list for 300g Build

    This entry will discuss equipment that I pan on using for my 300g build.

    Automation will be handled by the APEX controller that I already have. I will be adding an EB8 and possibly a 2nd ph probe to handle the Calc reactor.
