so it been a roller coaster of a year, took down my 150 transferred all coral to a 105g rimless tank. tank crashed lost coral(jan) then battled bryopsis and won then hair algae almost won. i have whites at 55% and blue @ 75% royal blue at 78%. so i guess on my previous light setup i had my MH high enough and the fans pointed to a point where water evap was not altered by them. currently with the LEDs im still topping off at the same rate. this is important because i use a kalk reactor to control my level especially PH, as it runs low on my system. currently alk is at 8.9 and cal at 438 with hanna checkers. colors are still looking great, so far im happy with my choice..... ...
so i decided to plunge into the world of LED. i was a long time anti-LED guy as i came from the old school of MH and T5. i will be running a 4 foot vertex sr260, as of now im running as is with just white, blue, royal blue leds. i plan on buying the multi color add on pucks later. at the moment i have it 50% white and 60%blue and 65% royal blue. i am running cloud simulator and lightning also on random. the light is a BEAST very powerful and the build quality is the best ive seen and ...
life has kept me busy but ive had a lil time to build my g/f Emily a new nano setup. this will be her new zoa garden. tank is a marine land 27g cube 20x18x20, filter is a cpr aquafuge, tunze nano top off and a reef keeper lite. vortech mp-10 and a ecotech radion gen 1. stand was hand built by slef and a kreg jig(awesome). stand is made of 3/4 oak plywoood, fron door comes off completly and drawer has a quiet close slide. ...
