That's the pH controller for a Calcium Reactor. 7.4 is working at keeping the alk at 8 dKH.

I still have the room and can attach one, but haven't yet.

Because the drain is tied in and has had time to cure, I finally flipped over Drain #5 in the 400g. That drain feeds directly into the refugium, so when I pulled out the Durso to invert it to the correct orientation, it sounded pretty dramatic. What I didn't know it would do was quickly fill up the overflow in the frag tank and overflow into the frag tank itself. I guess 1.5" in diameter of water shooting down the pipe was sufficient to race back up a 1" line into the frag tank. It was a surprise, but fortunately nothing negative could happen.

i like how the 270 lives on!! (in memory and spirit)
also, a while back i brought up an idea about putting a drip ledge/ splash guard/ water protector for your DJ switches.
i know your butcher block board overhangs so it may prevent any dripping, but i was just wondering your opinion on it, and if you think its still needed with the overhanging butcherblock.

I only have one Co2 tank. I took pictures at different points, both prior to putting things back and when in place. I hope to get started on the outside of the fishroom soon.

Thanks for sharing Marc. Did I see two different CO2 tanks, is one just a spare? I really like the shelf and ledge, my wife and I try to recycle as much as possible around here.

Hey Jeff, glad you joined us. There's another blog entry here where some questions came up about your tank. Here's the link: http://www.reefaddicts.com/entry.php...-last-Saturday

That's the rare Reversus Floatationus from the Marshall Islands and FLorida Keys.

So glas Spock made it through to the new tank.

I'm almost 99% positive it's A. caroliniana. There is a lot of that particular Acro around south Florida. I few years ago I had a big colony that I had some frags off of. One of the few colonies I lost when I switched to solar tubes. I think it was too high in the tank.

I have a new frag (now a mini colony) that is doing extremely well.

You would need to find Jeff's build thread to get all those details. He has a lot of pictures and explanations of how it all was set up and works. I did a little googling for you: http://www.thereeftank.com/forums/f6...-111685-4.html

Your friend Jeff's tank looks amazing! Can you explain a little bit about how the sola tubes work for lighting for the tank? I have them in my house to light up certain areas but I never ever thought about using them to light a tank! What kind of light do they produce and how would that cycle work (time, etc) coupled with metal halides?

I'll be taking some pictures of it in my tank very soon, and they will be posted. Probably by the weekend. I too immediately loved it when I saw it. $20

Thanks. :-) I like that one quite a bit. Rather unique look to it. I'll have to watch your posts like a hawk (like I don't already) for a macro shot of it sometime. I'd love to get an idea of the polyps on it.

Nice shopping spree. How did you get it all home safely?

You didn't, and it's all good. I was just clarifying why I handle it this way. Public speaking, building sumps and selling RO/DI systems is how I make a living. There is no other job, on the side or otherwise.

Okay, sounds good. I was just hoping to get it in the audio/visual form. I didn't mean to insinuate that you didn't give us enough of your efforts for free, on the contrary I believe you should be compensated. Sorry if it came across the wrong way.
