  3. A taste of Basel, Switzerland - Part 5

    This is the final entry regarding the city of Basel. The night before we left town, we went to Circus Knie. Again, your seating was predetermined when purchasing tickets. And it started right on time. It was nice to see the animals and the gymnasts do their stunts, but my swiss-german wasn't up to speed to the point that I could follow some of the running jokes regarding the feud between Zurich and Basel residents. The audience loved it though.

  4. A taste of Basel, Switzerland - Part 4

    I was in Basel for barely three days before it was time for us to head into Inner Schweitz. I made the most of my time there, taking off on foot to walk to some of my favorite places growing up. Instead of taking a tram and getting there in 15 minutes, it was more relaxing to walk at my own pace, frame the shots I hoped to get, and just take it all in.

  5. A taste of Basel, Switzerland - Part 3

    This set of pictures is specifically from Marktplatz. I spent many hours here while living in Basel, because it is the hub for all the stores in Grosse Basel. Basel is divided by the Rhein river, with Klein Basel on one side, and Grosse Basel on the other. Grosse is big, and Kleine is small. From Marktplatz, you can walk in several directions to shop as much as your heart desires and your wallet reaches.
