  1. Skimmer Swabbie repaired again

As I reported not to long ago, my Skimmer Swabbie's squeegee bracket broke. I received a new one in the mail on Saturday, but it didn't match what I've had all this time.

  2. Platygyra pini DNA

Years ago, I got this coral from a local vendor that was about to open for business. It's a beautiful maze coral that has done well or poorly as things happened with water quality. When the tank leaked a year ...

  3. Pictures from today

Wanting to take a picture of one subject, I ended up with a few to share.

The Hammer zone in the center of the reef is impressive.

The Yellow Scroll coral is healing a little bit more every day.

  4. When you appreciate your controller more than ever

While traveling, the reef is automated for the most part, although I do have someone check on the tank daily just to make sure everything is working as it should. Since getting back, I've been sick sick sick. Taking medication has made me sleepy, and I've not had the desire to lift a finger for the past six days, other than to add some thawed fishfood to the reef before the lights shut off for the night.

The Apex has been keeping everything firing on 8-cylinders, the top off is replenishing ...
