I dont think shaking the eggs out would be a good idea simply because of the stress it would cause the fish, the only way IMO would be to somehow catch the fish and put them in a small tank till he drops the babies , then you will need rotefers to feed to start out with , and I think with bangie cards they use a spiney urchen for the babies to hide in but im not sure as to the pajama cards but since they are of the same family I would think their spawning to baby activities would be close to the same ,, if you try good luck !! it is always rewarding to raise a batch of babies to adult hood..

Cyano bacteria is part of nature, but when it blooms it's because of the perfect circumstances that fuels a solid buildup. Overfeeding is often the blame.

I have heard a lot of positive reviews of Chemi-Clean... but what is the underlying issue creating the outbreak?

Ahh i got my rumors mixed up its Reefstock (March 10) that they are going to. I hope they give us some release dates then.

Chemi-clean has always impressed in the way that I have had no deaths from its use thus far and though a couple corals may not look overly happy for a day or two they always bounce back

Haha, winning! Chemi-Clean is great stuff!! On my previous tank I had several outbreaks of the stuff and after I dosed with Chemi-Clean the cyano just vanished, I wish there was such a "harmless" solution for every single problem!!

No, they were not. Unique LED Lighting was there, but the new released I'd heard a rumor about wasn't revealed.

I started using Rod's food about a year ago as well. My fish love it. The Fish Only Blend works well for quarantine tanks. The The Original Blend is my go-to for the reef though, there are goodies in there for every type of fish.... and plenty of little bits for the corals too.

I've never tried the Pacific Plankton variety, I don't think my LFS sells it. I need to look into it as only half my fish will eat the Sally's plankton I have.

I've got a store in the area where I can purchase it, but what has been convenient is that I can get it shipped to my door because I receive products for our club's events and sometimes can order my own stuff at the same time. I always ask the vendor if this is okay, or if they'd prefer to handle it differently.

I've been using Rod's Food in my reef for over a year.

I've heard of Rod's Foods from other sites. Knowing you feed these foods is reinforcement that I want to try them in my tank.

I really want to get the phosphates under control in my 29 and not transfer the problem into the bigger tank. My RODI water and saltwater for water changes always test 0 phosphate (API & Seachem kits), so I assume the phosphates must be coming from the pellets I feed.

I've read where others have had good luck reducing phosphates by switching to Rod's Foods. My only real problem is I never can find these products locally (even at the stores listed on the retailer locator on the Rod's Foods website). Did you order from an online retailer or are you lucky enough to have a LFS carry these products?

The frag swap was a success. It appears about 300 people attended and everyone left with some corals. Numerous vendors were set up, including Seachem, Aquarium Specialty and Thrive... I gave my sumps presentation, then Scott and I did an Aquascaping demonstration. It was nice to run into some ReefAddicts yesterday.

I don't rinse it. My tank doesn't suffer from PO4 or NO3 issues, so I'm not worried about it. I melt frozen foods in tank water, then feed my reef, the QT if occupied, and after lights out the suncorals.

Hey melev what method do you use to rinse your frozen foods?
