Its it great to hear from you Marc, and great to hear that Macna was worth all the set up and time at the booth. I hope once the 400 comes back, everything will go smoothly. Hopefully I will have the chance to get some more corals and fish in my setup in the next couple of months.

You know, if you would just cool things off you wouldn't have that problem.

    Next weekend is still good.

Weather is much better, so I can box up the Bioptim with Caulerpa for you and ship it. I just couldn't see it faring well with 100+ days the past two weeks, which would be even worse in mail trucks and warehouses.

I look forward to buying some cheap Margaritas at MACNA. I will definitely be buying a top down photo box so put my name on one. I still have to get some Bioptim, but I think the Digest has ousted my new tank blues. I came home from Tampa today to find that all my Zoas are extended and happy. Also all the brown stringy junk is gone completely, I will snap some pics tomorrow.

Marc is next weekend too late to preorder raffle tickets and get the discount?

Midnight I was just looking back at pics of ur sump are you running all of your equipment in there yet or still just skimmer and biopellet reactor? Could I possibly get a recent sump photo if you have all the equipment operational? I'm really trying to get a feel for spacing I'm picking the dimensions of my sump so that it will fit out the end of the stand in case of emergency repairs but now that I think of it I will have to re measure the room because the tank may be to close to the walls to allow a 5' sump to slide out the end.....hmmm didn't think about that. Do you guys think making the sump removable is a big deal or as long as you make it function well you just set it up once and that's that??

I love my sump and there is plenty of room for everything. If you took 6.5" width(for the refugium,) from the 24" depth the you would still have a plenty wide sump I think. And with Marc and I's Sumps we are set up to run with or without socks which you could omit. Oh yeah, my sump is so big that the family refers to it as the other fish tank.

That's kind of what I was thinking I like the full length refugium. Do you guys have any problems fitting equipment? Marc you have a pretty big skimmer right? I haven't dialed in all my equipment choices yet so I want to make sure I have room. My big constraint is keeping everything under the stand so with a sump that size I wont have much room for an ato. Do u think there is room for an internal ato likethe one in the pic above in your sump setup if I'm just running a skimmer biopellets and maybe a reactor for carbon? And yes external pump.

That's a big sump, NEReef. It would have to be shipped on a pallet, crated. Buying local is probably best. For your tank size, I'd imagine you are using an external pump correct? I posted pictures of Midnight's sump, which is a clone of my own. If you look those over and ask him how he likes his, that may be the best route for a good layout.

Hey Marc got any suggestions on a sump setup for a 300ish gallon tank with a 60lx24wx16h sump? Looking at having a local plastics place make it cuz I'very heard it costs a lot for you to ship yours.

I buy them from my supplier. It works nicely for specific items like ATO reservoirs and Dosing containers.

Did you make those hinges on the Model G with the ATO?
  16. melev's Avatar
It's no cakewalk living them, trust me.

I set up a 400g, and after 13 months I waked into the fishroom at 1am to find it peeing on the floor. I had to drain it instantly to avoid a catastrophic failure. Waiting for the repaired tank to return.

Looks great Marc, I saw your tank on a tank tour but it must have been the last one. What happened to it? It was what you had set up after a corner leak in the last one.
