Marc, Sorry to hear of the tank failure. I've been off the site for some time, life(as you know), and decided to check in tonight. Man, what a bummer. Hang in there! That's a bummer. I really like dwarf angels too, and was hoping to have one in my next set-up. Maybe I'll have to keep the 55 as an angel tank after I get the 75 up and running.
Yes, they are causing some damage. I doubt they will go into the 400g. Maybe I'll have an anemone and angel tank in my future.
That must be a pretty powerful magnet to pull the wet side that far. Wow!
oh and melev one more question for now. do you have any problems with your dwarf angels eating your corals?

Other than being ugly and slightly dangerous during the gluing process, it seems like a viable option.

He should try a wooden shim and a mallet. Even if it breaks, he's siliconing it/them in place as a essentially hidden brace.
yeah thats the trouble it was curved glass, it had a 4" stripof 1/2" glass alll the way across the front untill the curve stops then i had a straight piece on each side and then a straight strip down the back. my friend tried to get the company who built the aquarium to send him a bottom piece of glass piece cut but they wouldn't do it. they wouldn't even send him a cad drawing of the bottom panel. so he had to pay a architect $80 to draw up the bottom panel and then have someone a couple states away cut the glass for him and finally he got that all taken care of and he now has the bottom panel installed and he originally thought he could pull the euro bracing off the shattered bottom panel but it doesnt seem possible without destroying them
It's an added layer of security. But how do you brace the inside of a bowfront? You'd need glass cut to the same curvature.
thank for updating us! i could only imagine the stress and aggravation that the tank failure has caused to you and your reef. i have a friend who has a 200g bow front tank that came with a busted bottom panel during shipping it had euro bracing on the bottom and the top and its all 1/2" glass he has finally got the bottom put back in but was un able to but the euro bracing back in the bottom do you think that the euro bracing on the bottom was overkill or is in needed?
yeah you should have nothing to worry about as long as you make sure there isnt anything stuck on it that will scratch the glass, and who cares about the bottom being scratched

wow...I would not want to use that. That looks like it would scratch not only the bottom, but the viewing pane as well.

At least the fish look good. Poor things. So stressful, so you feed them well, and that messes up the tank params. Ugh. I feel your pain.
We use grayhound all the time to ship autoparts, cheaper than UPS or Fedx on big stuff. Cool story.
