Tank Entry

  1. new full tank shot

We sorted through all the frags downstairs and pulled what we wanted for the display. The rockwork is still not perfect, and all the fish are in hiding from us placing frags, but this is what we ended up with for now.

  2. Tonight's the night!!!

    Tested again today.

    Ammonia 0
    Nitrite 0
    Nitrate .5

It's time to flip some ball valves and get the water circulating through the entire system. Jon's out on the deck finishing up the plumbing for our new aquaponics system, so once he's done with that..... Slap some filter socks onto the ends of pipes and get that baby flowing!!!!!

  4. Leaking display :(

Yeah, my display tank has a small leak. Luckily, not catastrophic, especially after just having the basement dry out from my last flood, lol! Tomorrow I have to move everything downstairs to my coral propagation and fish broodstock tanks and drain the display until we can find a replacement tank. Jon engineered the system so it can run without the display, so once the display is empty I just have to turn a ball valve before I fire the pump back up.

Still, this is not my ideal plan ...

  5. pictures, finally. :)

Display tank, fts. Not the most impressive pic, but the best I've got right now. Things have shifted a bit since then, so next deep cleaning will be new fts time.
