Looks great Jay. Thanks for sharing your process.

When you are attaching images, double click the thumbnail in the editor and a box will appear in the middle of your screen. Select Full to get the full size image. Do this with each image and they will display like above (after I edited and enlarged each image).

Thanks for all the pretty pictures. Your corals look very nice and healthy. I like that yellow Stylophora(?).

Nice update, Jay. Your pictures look great, so I made them full size.

Please do post about those experiences you've had to deal with, as others will surely benefit from your words.

The FTS looks really good too. Next time, please do turn on the shadow box.

A blog entry is like a phone call to a friend. When you call, you usually don't pick up where you left off. You tell them the latest. That's what we want you to do here on RA. We can always read your previous entries based on the titles, so try to be somewhat descriptive or at least use the tags option to list up to five keywords that can be used to find a previous entry of interest.

Well, being 4 months into it now, you are right. The hardest part is reaching in the back towards the back bottom and the bottom of the sides to scrape algae/corralline. Not too bad, but not as easy since it is in the wall.

Image 11 is a Tyree Seasons Greetings montipora. I am not certain if it's a plating cap or an encrusting monti, but it's colorful! I am very careful when I introduce montis to my tank, as they can take over rocks, but I liked the coloration of this one enough to include it. I have been thinking of having one main rock that is covered with nothing but a combination of encrusting montis like this one, poker star, superman, sunset, etc, all growing together in a rainbow of colors.

No supplements other than a Ca reactor. I am kind of surprised at how fast my corralline grows. I just soaked my Powerheads in vinegar a couple of weeks ago, and they are already turning purple again. Crazy....ha

Not sure which one you mean, as on my IPad, the pics are all scrambled up. But the green ones on my screen under the birds nest are: the branching acro is ORA Frogskin, and under the other birdnest pic is a small frag of Tyree Seasons Greetings montipora. If you are meaning a different picture, let me know and I'll try to identify it. Thanks,

Yes, most of them are from WWC. I got a lot of them when they had a 24 hour live online sale and I got them for about half price I think. Yes, I feel like over all I paid a "mint", lol, but I hope I can make all that back plus some when they grow out. I'm not in this to try and make money, but at some point, 17 chalices are going to take up too much room.
