i'm movin on up to a 180 gallon tank with a 60 gallon adhi refugium, and i'm woundering what would be good plants to put in the refug with a sand/mud mix on the bed. any advise would be great, thanks. oh yea i live in california so it looks like that throws out a few options.

Woohoo... Unfortunately a local CMAS guy is getting out of the hobby, so I was able to snag his AC Jr. with a dc8 module for $115.

I was worried at first with it being a used one that it may not have the serial port that I can tie an auto top off into, but didn't care one way or the other for that price I was buying it. Well thankfully it has the serial as well too!

My wife and I are new to the salt water community. We got a 55gal tank from some friends that is in desperate need of some good advise. We have two mated clown fish (that have apparently never mated) and a striped goby (not sure what type yet). It has a Whisper Power Filter 60 hang off the back filter, one Hydor Koralia fan, a heater, about 3 inches of very dirty live sand and about 15lbs of live rock. Our end goal is to have a reef tank. The weather is in the 90s, and I'm cleaning up equipment in my fishroom. Today I took down the lights to clean the reflectors' shells and both sides of the glass. I'll be wiping down everything, like the rim of the tank, the sump, pumps and plumbing. I also need to do all my water tests.

I'd like to clean up the display tank a little more, trim out some dead stuff and move a couple of corals.

On Monday, I'm going to BBQ. What are y'all going to do?
