  1. Are you an addict?

    If you have an iPhone, show off your addiction. Jessy created a very nice one tonight for my background. The easiest way to get it on the phone is to email it to the account linked to your phone, then save it to Camera Roll. Find the image, click on the arrow button (as if you wanted to email it to someone) and Set As Wallpaper.

  2. Marineland 265 upgrade

    Current tanks
    120 gallon reef ready half circle - contents of tank mixed reef/fish/live rock
    55 gallon reef ready - contents of tank mixed reef/fish/live rock

    Upgrading both tanks into the brand new Marineland 265 gallon reef ready tank with the monterey stand in black. This is going to be a long drawn out blog, im warning you now lol.

  3. Return pump temp

    I have a 30 gal tank with 20 gal sump and my mag 3 raises the temp 2 or 3 degrees. What other pump could I use to get the same performance but not temp as the mag? I do not want to add fans to keep it at peek but will add them to help keep it down.

    I've been so busy I didn't even get a chance to blog about my new stand. However, now that I'm in Florida I have some quiet moments until MACNA begins, so here are some images I took with my iPhone 4.

    The stand is 85.5" long, 36" wide and 38" tall. It is made of 2" tubular steel, welded and powder-coated. The steel is very thick, and the stand immensely heavy. When the welder dropped it off, it was too heavy for the two of us to carry, so I called for a third person to assist. ...

  5. SPS grows like MAD and than RTN's

    This has been going on now for like a month. My tank is a 140 shallow reef tank with T5's. I have two 6100 tunzes for water movement. Run the lights from 4:30 to 11:30. I have a total water volume of 260. I have two 30 gallon breeder tanks plumbed into for sps frag tanks. These are full of water but no corals in them at this moment.
    Water parameters are as follows

    Ca 380
    Alk 8
    NO3 15
    NO2 0
    NH3 0
    temps. swing .3 degrees of 77 ...
