  1. An update to my 40Br Sumpless Reef Tank

    Watch in HD!

My Sumpless 40Br Mixed Reef Tank. Set up since August 2012 (Moved from SC), most corals have been with me for about a year prior to the move.

    Tank: Aqueon 40BR

Stand and Canopy: The stand is a nice entrance piece of furniture and the "half-canopy" and fixture cover was made by me.

Controller: Apex Jr. (Without Display, I use my iPhone 5/Computers to monitor the tank) ...

  2. More Rock Structures with some yapping by yours truly

So as some of you know I make "Rock Structures", or however you name them (I've been corrected any number of times!). This is something I like to do, and it keeps me deeper in the hobby without burning me out. I wish I could say I am some type of savant in designing Rock Structures, but this would not be true. 4. What a unique chalice

I spotted this on Facebook today. Image by Reefkoi. Look at the size of the polyps that opened up on this Chalice coral. I read that it's from Jason Fox's collection.

  5. Some Rock Structures I made

Marc suggested I post some of my tinkering of Rock Structures here.

This is Man-Made Rock, using rock studs and resin epoxy on certain joints (Using the rock studs) to make it super sturdy. A cat 5 hurricane may knock it over.

This structure has an arch and a semi-divided branch in the back (depending on how you look at it). I used Snapseed (Google's mobile picture editor) to edit the pics as it's very difficult to actually show what the rocks look like in real life. ...
