A neon green hammer coral of all things! Has anyone ever experienced this? I'll try to put a picture up. Very mobile brown patches that irritate the tentacles making them over inflated to the point that you can't tell that it's a hammer.
Power failure: When the power goes out and I'm out of town, I get an email & a text to let me know. What I don't get is a follow up to let me know power has been restored. After a cursory google search, I didn't land on a satisfying answer to how birdsnest shows up in different areas of the tank. It's an easy coral to frag, and can be glued where you like. It can break accidentally and grow where it lands. But how does is show up on the side of some random rock all of a sudden? Are polyps blowing around and landing elsewhere, growing new colonies?
