It's their first spawn! I'm so excited! I've had this pair for over 3 yrs since they were juveniles now my babies are having babies! Yay!!! Sorry if the pic is blurry but I had to snap a quick pic with the phone camera. Funny thing is she laid the eggs on the corner of the glass. Just wanted to share! 3. Coral reefs - basic knowledge

There's a small chance that upon arriving at this site, you've realized it's actually about a subject you are unfamiliar with, because you thought you were looking for Christmas decorations or something. This site is actually about coral reefs. Or rather it's about growing and letting them thrive in a tank environment.

  4. Hide and seek

That's what I'm thinking of calling my aquarium. First my pistol shrimp disappears for over a year before turning up (after 2 tank moves). So I decided he needed a goby friend. I bought one at the local fish store 2 weeks ago, haven't seen him since. Till last night!
Now he just needs to find the shimp on the other side of the tank. I'll try to get a photo of him, but he's still pretty shy.

  5. Woot! Got my new reeflo dart/snapper yesterday!

    by , 08-29-2012 at 10:56 AM (180g Tank Build - 11 mos. and counting.)
Going to replace my GEN X PCX40. I'm excited - I expect to see less power draw and more flow. So, the return hole in my sump is currently sized for a 1" return and now I need to enlarge it for a 2" return. I know there are many reeflo fans out there - what size return / bulkhead do you REALLY use? Any advice on how best to widen the hole? A 2.5" (or close) drill bit seems cost prohibitive.
