  1. Where have I been?

Hi all, I know I haven't been around much for a few months. Life got kind of crazy on me.

First, after 8 months of marital hell my wife left me and Alaska to go home to Utah. We're working on the divorce now.

This August, I got some really bad news on my airplane at it's annual inspection. Short answer is that it requires about $12k in repairs to be airworthy again. So I sold it "as-is" to a student aircraft mechanic. It'll provide a nice training project ...

  2. Time to pull that trigger!

I got the final OK to re-quote the tanks (sump and display). So now I'm starting on the process of approaching each and every company on my list for a new quote for the tanks. The goal is to have both tanks in the house before the holidays, so we're leaving a lot of lead time to get those panes of 10.5ft glass. I have 5 places to get quotes from now; all glass, and there is now even a guy who I've heard (through the grapevine so it needs to be confirmed) that will warranty his work!

  4. An extraordinary cultural diversity in Papua New Guinea!

Papua New Guinea is known for its unique diversity from both its coral reefs, its people and cultures. There is no other better time to see this but September 16th when the country celebrates its independence with traditional singing and dancing. What a time for a "PNG EXPERIENCE!" to the tourists and outsiders. This year the country saw its 35th year of independence. A day when PNGeans highlight their beautiful bilas, colors and the uniqueness of their people, both young and old, bringing out the ...

  5. Oh little Leg Tank its nice to finally meet you!

by , 09-29-2010 at 02:20 PM (T.I.B.E.T (The Incredibly Big Expensive Tank))
My Leg Tank, a water storage container, for our water change system is finally at our house. Its hanging out in the garage making friends with our other renovation materials. After everything was said and done I ended up paying about $250 for the tank, as I received a large discount for the issues we had receiving it. I have no idea when I'm going to get to installing it, but at least now we have it, and can sort out our plumbing order so we can get moving once again.
