Now that I have all my new parts in, I took the time this evening to break down and clean the calcium reactor. The old pump was retired, which looked cooked for a lack of a better description. The plastic had discolored and looked like heat damage from within, and it rattled around the clock. The replacement Mag 7 was easily installed. The acrylic body was cleaned out, new Caribsea ARM was poured in, and all flexible tubing was cleaned or replaced. The pH probe got a vinegar bath. ...
I do not have an extra tank to put the fish in so, has anyone used ICH X? The company says that "invert" any filter feeder which includes most of the corals might have stress and that if severe stress on them because of adding the med do a 50% water change. Do y'all think I should do it? Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks in advance!

Thanks to some fellow Reefers I have some used Marco Rock for my tank. I have cleaned off the rock with Muriatic acid, and rinsed and is now sitting in a Rubbermaid tub with salt water from my tank mixing with an old pump and a couple of small pieces of rock from my DT. My question now is to find the best way to seed it and put it in my tank. I will be replacing all of the rock that is currently in my tank with this rock. For the past couple of months, my tank has really suffered from a bothersome cyano bloom and I've been trying to wait it out until it receeds, but not only has it stayed strong, I'm seeing some other issues in one of my colonies that concerns me. It is darn close to a dinoflagellate issue, with dead areas that have turned brown and nuisance algae has sprouted from it. With nitrates low and phosphates low, it's hard to figure out the cause. I'm going to conjecture that this is CO2 ...
