So I'm trying to think of the best way to hang my lighting over my tank. I have this sexy tank, and the only lighting I have for it is a 36 retrofit LED and I'll be getting a couple stunner strips to supplement. It seems a shame to build a traditional canopy for it. Well I ordered my SW test kit and the agua lifter pump Melev recommended for my overflow. I put the other side on the overflow and am waiting for it to cure for a day or two and will water test it.

Was going to order my 4x54 watt T5 fixture this weekend but a bad battery in my car took the funds so its gonna have to wait.

Well I set up the new 55 gallon home for the 3 green spotted puffer fish only to find that one of the green spotted puffer fish had committed suicide and jumped out of the tank and onto the floor roughly 5 feet below. I watched one of them do it when I was home, figured he was dead from the fall but I got him back into the tank and was fine a few hours later. Not sure if it was the same one or not so now the 2 puffers have 55 gallons to play in.

I tried to use a 2 ton jack to lift up that busy intersection of the trusses, but it didn't have the strength. I try again tomorrow with a bigger jack to raise that low spot up 1".

The 12' 2x4 was put in place next to the other rafter that appeared to be dipping, but with the new one next to it, the problem seemed unfounded. I may nail it on tomorrow anyway just to add a little strength since that one is running directly over the reef tank.
