Since October, my last update, I've been pretty busy...and I'm only going to get busier because the tank is wet! We're at the end of the cycle now, just letting things flow as we're not on any particular schedule here. Although amusingly enough Tibet is quieter then our grow out tank. I attribute it to the wide overflow, and the sump design. I have a skimmer on order, an RLSS r10, which I'm dying to get my hands on. Mandarins are not like most fish we keep. Their digestive system is more like a seahorse or pipefish. They don't have a real stomach and can not store food as we, and most fish can. Since I am bad at actually remembering anything, I am going to use this blog to keep track of my water parms. So I tested 2 days ago: Alk- 12.5 DKH Cal- 335 PPM Mag- 1220 PPM Wow- cal is low.
