Well, after trying everything less than a thermonuclear device I still have Maidens Hair in my tank. I've reduced the lighting, manually removed it, and reduced my feeding. I use Elos test kits and my Phosphates are 0, Nitrates 0, Nitrites 0??? I have read that you can have a tank full of algae and read 0 on Phosphates due to the algae consuming it all.

I got a few frags the yesterday and wanted to post some pics! Also I said a question on my last blog about this new bright green thin algae only growing on my dry rock I put in my tank. It doesn't grow on the live rock though. I had brown algae for a few weeks and then it went away. (still have a bit on substrate) What do y'all think about the algae? Is it normal for the maturing of dry rock?

I bought some frags yesterday and I have a few questions:

1) the frags thatare on them pegs that you push into the sand-if I want to mount them on a rock, how would I remove that little "tit" that you push in the sand?

2) I have that 2-part putty, it really doesn't hold to good I think. What do y'all think? Should I just use super glue gel, are use both?

3) I have a frag no on the frag peg, do I just mount it on a rock? Any advice?

Hi, I recently tried keeping my first Mandarin Fish. I had plenty of tiny creatures in my sump, assumed to be copopods, and added corals on live rocks weekly to keep the copopod population high. Initially, I thought he would adapt to my aquarium well, he regularly nibbled at rocks and substrate. After a few weeks, he went missing for a few days, and when I located him he was terribly skinny and weak. He died. Do you have advice on keeping Mandarins? So recently My palys skirts have been looking really bad, and I couldn't figure out what was going on. I looked for Sundials, Zoa Spiders, Nudi, Nudi eggs and couldn't find anything! Well tonight while I was checking on Livestock while lights were out I saw the biggest pod ever! And he was munching on the skirt of these palys! Which is sort of a relief to me, since I know its not any of the other pests, but how do I kill this Monster! I have some CoralRX coming in soon, maybe I'll give it ...
