  1. New Old Tank

    New guy here getting addicted to the reef culture. I have kept different FOWLR tanks over the past 7 or 8 years. (not very successfully due to lack of funds ). I am currently in the beginning stages of setting up a 135 that I just moved into our new house and thought I would share my successes and failures as I go along and hopefully your guys input can help me along.

  2. Have you heard of the LIghtning Maroon clownfish?

    If you haven't, it's one amazing looking clown from Papua New Guinea. A friend of mine received one last year, because he's a fish breeder. As you can imagine, he's been barraged with queries regarding mating and possibly viable egg clutches ever since. Matt's a busy guy, but he went out of his way to assure that this fish was well cared for every time Murphy threw something its way.

    How many times a week (or day) do you feed a small to medium-sized rose bubble tip anemone? And what types of food do you feed it?

  4. Help ID

    Can someone help me ID this please. This is the best pic I could get of it before it went back into the rocks. It is black with a white spot on it, it looks almost like a stingray of some sort without the long tail.

  5. The benefit of a clean tank

    When people come to visit, they often talk about how clean my system is. I clean everything at some point, never all at once in a single day because there is too much to do. Every few weeks, I clean the glass with a hotel Room Card (those plastic credit cards they hand you), swiping it between the glass and the sandbed to keep the view of the sand clean. I scrape off any algae along the sand bed, near the silicone seams, and along the entire top edge where the water laps up against the eurobracing. ...
