The store sold it to me as a black percula... but it only cost $20 and black percs are ususally upwards of $70 I had my nitrates spike and most of my fish die a few weeks ago. I've been doing water changes nearly every other day with RODI water and am now starting to introduce some heartier fish like clowns. This I want to pair this gal up with a smaller clown so that it will become the larger female... but I don't know if I can safely put it with a regular orange/white percula...? ...

For the last few weeks I've been looking after a pair of reef aquariums for a friend of mine. One of which is my old 55 gal setup that will be moved back to my home soon. The other is his 40 breeder set up. Well, when i stopped by there tonight things were awefully dark and quiet. I quick investigation reveled that the 55 had no power at all, and only 1/2 the lights and 1 power head were running on the 40. Over the last few month I've been contemplating selling my reef system. I LOVE my reef! My wife lost her job late last year and has been looking for a job ever since. She is an accountant. My incoming TDS is high. Extremely high. 750+ high. That being said my 4-stage does a very good job of getting it down. Usually averaging less than 30, sometimes 20. Well below the 5% accepted return. That's great for drinking water, but 20-30 TDS entering my DI is literally just exhausted a 10" BRS "Nuclear Grade" resin refill within 200 gallons.
