  1. My 40g breeder "upgrade"

I've been reefkeeping for about 25 years, and in that time I've gone from a 20 long, a 45 tall, and now a 135. When I got the larger tank (for a steal), I was super excited. I finely had the size I wanted. Large enough without being too large. Or so I thought. The tank has been up for about 6 years. In that time I've slowly lost interest. 2. 42 Gallon Hex build

Below are photo's of the parts for the stand. It is similar to the canopy in that has a inner frame which is actually the stand holding the tank. The back panel is a cabinet with 2 doors. One on each side. This will house the power bars for the pumps and other devices. It will also house the power supply's for the LED's. Behind the front door of the Stand will be the controller and modules. There are two doors on each side to gain access under the stand.

The skunk clownfish are still grouped, but during the daytime they like to spread out. If you can spot the Torch coral in the background on the green Montipora plate, you'll spy one under the torch.

Here are some more photo's with the canopy assembled and the side panels stained. If you look inside at the bottom inner frame you can see that it slopes down towad the inside of the tank. Also in a photo of the back you can see where the power and control signals enter the canopy. The power is 12 volts and 24 volts. The 12 volts is for the RGBW, UV, Dark Red and lime LED's. It also powers cooling fans for the LED heat sink. The 24 volts is for the Royal Blue and warm white LED's. Also there are ...

Two of the photo's below show the canopy with inner frame, side panel assembles, top outer frame and bottom outer frame after they were glued. The top outer frame bottom outer frame and side panel can be removed from the inner frame assembly if needed. The other two photo's are of the top outer frame and lid stained ready to install on the inner frame and side panels.
